I’m trying to put together some kind of evidence of me playing metal guitars. It is tragic that while I played live a lot, it was mostly at times where recording was not easy. No mobile phones and such. I am the music composer or co-composer of all the songs below.
Around 2000, using real drums and nothing but analogical stuff. If I recall correctly, there was nowhere a computer in the studio. The group was Karmandu (which is pronounced like Karma – undo), doing something that at the time was called “New Metal”. The singer improvised the lyrics all the time, but not in a way that made sense.
Karmandu – Never to Never
Karmandu – Quimicos insertan
Then around 2002 ?
In this case, there was computer, but overdrive and such were all from amps. Mostly because a lot of today’s most common software was unavailable at the time. The band style was “metal argentino” which is a kind of noisy heavy metal, mostly influenced by Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Rust in peace of Megadeth, and Kill’em all of Metallica. I composed this song with a more Gothic’s Paradise Lost influence, kind of an outlier.
Virosis – Vivir o morir
Then the years go by…
I played a lot as a guest and then switch to other music styles. Never stopped listen to metal and going to concerts.
Around 2021, having now technology at home I recreated these songs composed around 1998. I played the guitar and bandoneon, and did the rest with the PC.
Anyways, I will continue improving this page, if I found more interesting material.
